Check your hotel room before unpacking

Road Warriors, we think we all know the tricks and tips to traveling. Well here are some tips to avoid aggravation at a hotel when on a business trip. There is nothing worse than unpacking everything in your hotel room, and then kicking back to relax a moment and find your TV does not work, or perhaps relieving one’s self after 12 hours of travel, to find a faulty plumbing system in your bathroom.
Here are things you must check before you unpack and settle in for the night.
1. TV works
2. TV remote works
3. Bathroom facilities all work (can you flush, do you have hot water?)
4. Air conditioner and heater work
5. Your door locks (don’t laugh, this has happened)
6. Room is clean and the sheets are actually clean
7. Internet connection works
8. If you are in a suite - Refrigerator works
Now some may say “well these things can be fixed”. Yes they can but often it is a hassle and takes more time and aggravation then just switching rooms. Print this out and keep with you for your next trip.

how about underwear in your bed? That is always an unpleasant surprose when you just step in

Walked in on a room on time that looked like Woodstock after the concert. Beer/vodka/wine bottles and butts everywhere. SOLD OUT rooms so had to wait for cleaning service for 2 hours

TK did you hit the bottles before cleaning crew came in? You marketing/sales types are all the same.
