Promo items without batteries big hit

We are constantly searching for new an exciting items to give to our clients, employees and to draw crowds in at tradeshows.  When that item requires batteries things can get complicated.  This is the article the Energizer Bunny does not want you to read.

Why complications?

- Item gets switched “on” in shipping process and battery dies before item can be given out.

- Time sets in and batteries die of natural causes.

- Promo item is big hit but when batteries die, it gets tossed out.

The worst complication, the one that occurs the most is the battery dying before it gets in the hands of its intended recipient.  This is fairly embarrassing.  You give a prospect this cool item.  He/she is ecstatic, almost like a child in a candy store.  Then they go to turn it on and nothing.  This is comparable to your childhood.  Someone gives you this great GI Joe toy that has gun sounds when you press its helmet.  Well you press the helmet and nothing.  Then you read the package and it says “batteries NOT included”.   

So don’t let this happen to your clients.  There are some new products out there that use “man” power.  Items you crank or wind to avoid using batteries.  One such farily new item, which is extremely useful and attractive, is a wind up flashlight.  They make them in various sizes but the best one to use is the “mini” version.  The mini version is typically on a keychain and fits easily in your pocket.

Easy to transport to events, easy for recepients to carry.   No batteries are a big hit for your clients and prospects, and a big hit for your bottom line, as they cut down on waste.
